  • Dispatch Time

    All products are made to order. Due to the nature of the specimens a 30 day dispatch time is standard. This is due to the nature of the products to allow for production, drying time and business demands. All efforts will be made to dispatch quicker when reasonably possible.

  • Hygiene

    All dry specimens from Taxidermy Tom are processed and cured before being heat treated to kill harmful bacterium that may be present in their raw from. This is an additional voluntary step taken before the main dehydration taxidermy process. This heat treatment step is designed for hygiene safety and peace of mind.

    Although heat treated to kill bacteria good handwashing and hygiene practices should be adhered to after handling any taxidermy products.

  • Compliance and Traceability

    All dry specimen taxidermy rodents have been sourced for a large supplier operating within Europe. They are bred and used as animal food within zoo’s, animal sanctuaries and wildlife parks. These supplier’s state all animals have veterinarian checks on a monthly basis and are humanely euthanised.

    Taxidermy Tom receive specimens frozen. We record and maintain a tracking system so the finished product can be traced back to the original batch from the source supplier.

    Taxidermy Tom have received site visit’s and discussed good practice with local authorities. These have included Department of Agriculture and Environmental Health professionals.
